Introducing the new Whzan

A clearer, more connected way to support care beyond hospital walls.

Care has changed.

It no longer happens in one place or within the walls of a single organisation. It happens across homes, communities and services, often involving carers, clinicians and multiple teams working together around the same person.

And as care has evolved, we’ve been asking a simple question. Are the tools supporting care keeping up?

Over the past year, we’ve spent time with carers, clinicians, providers and partners across the UK. We’ve listened to how care really works. The pace. The pressure. The movement between visits. And the importance of feeling confident in the moment.

What we heard was consistent.

Care and clinical teams don’t need more complexity. They need clarity. They need connection. They need tools that fit into real-world care.

So we’ve evolved Whzan.

A clearer Whzan

You’ll notice it straight away.

We’ve introduced a refreshed brand and website, designed to feel clearer, more confident and easier to navigate. It reflects who we are today. A connected digital health partner supporting care beyond hospital walls.

But this isn’t just about how things look.

It’s about making everything feel more joined-up, more intuitive, and more aligned with how care is actually delivered.

New Whzan

A Blue Box designed for real visits

The Blue Box has always been at the heart of Whzan, supporting carers and clinicians in conducting digital health and wellbeing checks and capturing vital health information.

Now, it’s been redesigned.

The new Blue Box is nearly half the size and around one-third lighter than before, without losing any functionality. It is easier to carry between visits and is designed to fit naturally into domiciliary care.

Because care doesn’t happen in one place.

It happens on the move, between homes, across communities and within busy schedules. The Blue Box now reflects that reality.

Introducing Blue Box Lite

We’ve also introduced something new.

Blue Box Lite is a flexible way to support remote monitoring and virtual ward pathways, without the need for a full hardware setup.

It enables organisations to record and review health observations using existing equipment or patient-reported readings, making it easier to extend monitoring across services and settings.

It’s about making connected care easier to scale across services, including NHS pathways such as virtual wards and community-based care.

From visit to shared insight

At the centre of Whzan is a simple idea. A single visit can tell a much bigger story.

Whzan supports carers in recording structured health observations, such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and temperature, consistently. This information is presented using recognised NHS frameworks, such as NEWS2, to help teams communicate clearly and confidently with clinicians and other healthcare professionals.

Built around real care

Today, Whzan is used across the UK by integrated care systems, NHS and community providers, local authorities, care homes and homecare organisations.

This includes North Central London ICB, Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland partners, and Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust working with the county council, alongside homecare providers such as SureCare and Bluebird Care.

That experience has shaped everything we’ve changed.

A more connected future for care

This is not just a product update. It is a step forward in how care is supported.

This reflects the direction set out in the NHS 10 Year Plan, with a growing focus on community-based care, digital transformation and prevention.

“Care today happens across homes, communities and services,” says Alex, CEO of Whzan.

“Our focus has been on making Whzan clearer, more connected and more practical, supporting carers and clinicians with structured information that helps them work together and make confident decisions.”

We believe care works best when it is connected.

When information flows.
When teams collaborate.
When carers and clinicians feel confident.
And when people can stay well, wherever they call home, beyond hospital walls.

This is the new Whzan

A clearer experience.
A more practical Blue Box.
A flexible approach to remote monitoring.

All working together to support care as it really happens today.
